Notes for contributing authors:
Post fiction here -- anything from a drabble to a flash fic to a full-on excerpt from a serious novel. Anything from the 100-word drabble to the 1500 word excerpt is ideal material. The blog has been set up with an Adult Content Warning, so there's no need to feel cramped as per content.
Things not to post here: news, views, reviews, ads, personal notices ... anything other than fiction. Commercials belong in the sidebars and footer, and when we start to get a good body of traffic, we'll take a serious look at this.
As the blog grows, the most important thing will be to be found, and the way to do this with the least amount of work for anyone is for everyone to correctly LABEL our posts.
If you've "done Blogger" before, you know exactly how to do this. If you haven't -- bear with me a moment longer!
In the window where you'll paste in your content, you'll see this field at the bottom of the editing window:
IMPORTANT!! Do not use the title of your story as a label! Think about it ... if we wind up with 1,000 stories, we'll have 1,000 labels, and won't be able to display them -- so no one will be found at all. So -- no story titles used as labels ... thanks!
Label your posts with as many keywords as you need to describe them -- but try to stick to to the same labels as other contributors, if at all possible. This will keep the length of the label list under control, at least for a while! Choose from these labels ... and let us know if we missed something!
Where your post is an excerpt from a published work, do link to the wiki page belonging to the piece. Also, remember to put in your byline ... and don't forget to make your byline a link back to your wiki page!
Questions? What'd we miss??
