BLURB:
Noah Lipinski has a fierce crush on Doug Hathaway, a hot jock on the high school football team whose locker is fifteen down from Noah's in the hall. When Melissa Bradshaw, only the most popular girl in school, suddenly shows an interest in Noah, he suspects he's being set up for a cruel joke. She asks him to Homecoming and he refuses to go.

After school, the doorbell rings and Noah's sure she's back to pester him about the dance. But when he opens the door, he finds Doug there instead, with an explanation and a much better offer than Melissa's.

EXCERPT:
Melissa giggles again, a distracting sound. She looks past him down the hall and Noah follows her gaze, but suddenly there’s no one between his locker and Doug’s. The jock stands at his locker, rummaging through notebooks as he looks for something. God, that hair!

Noah feels the urge to sigh, but Melissa’s right beside him, remember? He presses his lips together and frowns into his own locker, the skin on the back of his neck hot. “Go away,” he growls at Melissa.

She’s still looking past him, and from the corner of his eye, Noah sees Doug glance their way. Sweat beads on his neck, dampens the back of his head. Melissa gives a little wave that pisses Noah off.

When he realizes she isn’t leaving, he tries a different tactic. “What do you want?”

Her smile cranks up a notch. “I want to know when you plan on asking me to the Homecoming dance.”

“I --” Noah starts, then her words sink in. Confusion replaces his irritation. Why would he ask her? More importantly, why would she go with him? “What?”

“It’s only three weeks away,” Melissa says. She speaks matter-of-factly, as if they’re going steady and she wants to know what time he plans to pick her up, because she already knows he’s going to ask her out and she’s going to say yes.. “I know you haven’t asked anyone yet. So why --”

“Because I’m not going.” Noah shakes his head in disbelief.

No-ah,” she says with a breathless laugh.

“Is this some kind of joke?” he wants to know. She can’t be serious. “Why me? You’re just wasting your time.”

“No, you’re wasting my time,” Melissa snaps.

Noah looks around and sees they’ve attracted a crowd; worse, Doug is still at his locker, watching this. Watching him.

Melissa continues. “I have a dress all picked out but we have to match. What color are you going to wear?”

“I’m not going,” he says again.

Someone laughs but Noah doesn’t think this is very funny. Even Melissa’s grinning, the little bitch. I get it, he thinks, the back of his neck now burning with embarrassment. This is some sick joke. Let’s pick on the homo -- get the most popular girl in school to ask him out then laugh when he says no. And hey, while you’re at it, let’s do it in the hall between classes where everyone and their brother can see, including the hot jock the geeky queer creams over.

Angry, he slams his locker shut and shrugs Melissa’s hand off his arm. “I’m not taking you to the dance.”

He storms off, elbowing his way through the crowd amid catcalls and giggles. It’s not until he reaches his classroom that Noah realizes Doug’s signature laugh wasn’t among those following him down the hall.

Somehow he makes it through the rest of the day without running into Melissa again. But word gets around his school easily and by his last class, Noah’s had two more girls ask him to the dance. What, just because Melissa’s noticed he’s alive, everyone else clues in now, too?

Everyone but Doug.

BLURB:
It's the first Saturday of summer vacation. But upcoming high school senior Logan Bradley can't celebrate -- he has to watch his younger brother Dylan while their mother attends her monthly book club meeting. She even forbids him from inviting his boyfriend Chad Adams over when she isn't home!

Logan's only consolation is his cell phone, which connects him to Chad. Now, if Dylan will just leave him alone long enough to chat up his boy, the evening might be salvaged ...

EXCERPT:
“Logan, are you listening to me?” His mother jingled her keys as she shouldered her purse. “Dylan has to be in bed by nine.”

Logan sighed. “Mom, it’s summer --"

“And we’re not arguing about this. Your brother already tried. Nine.” She tried to kiss his forehead but Logan stepped out of reach. “Spend some time with him before he goes down, will you? Don’t hole up in your room all night.”

Logan followed her to the door. “Can Chad come over?”

She shook her head. “You know my rule on that. No one in the house if I’m not here.”

“Mom,” Logan moaned. “It’s not like we’re going to have sex.”

Over her shoulder, she threw him a stern look. “Not in my house you’re not.”

Only half-joking, Logan said, “See, that’s why we need to go out riding tonight.”

His mother didn’t laugh. “No one in the house, you hear me?”

Logan sighed. “Yes, ma’am.”

“Dylan in bed by nine. You can stay up until I get home --"

“Mom!’ Logan cried. “I’m seventeen.”

“Which is why you can stay up.” She smirked, pleased she had won this round. “I should be in before midnight. I have my cell with me if you need to call.”

“If I’m calling anyone, it’ll be Chad,” Logan groused.

“Do not spend all night on the phone,” his mother warned. “When I call later, you better answer, mister. Now give me a kiss.”

Grudgingly Logan leaned forward, but he kissed the air in front of her face instead of landing a peck on her cheek. “Have fun. I sure won’t.”

His mother sighed. “Not with that attitude.”

Super Star, by S. Wales, Beau to Beau books

A Beau to Beau young adult book

Intro:

Since meeting the teen heartthrob one year ago, Mitch’s life has not been the same. He is certain that when the very famous Kevin Rowe had shaken his hand and looked into his eyes that there had been something unspoken between them, a connection of some sort. Every one of Mitch’s walls was adorned with posters of the international film star, and Mitch had collected anything and everything about Kevin Rowe. As a graduation gift this year, Mitch’s parents are taking him to France for the Cannes Film Festival where Kevin Rowe is making his big debut in the very first film where he is without a doubt the Super Star. When Mitch catches a glimpse of the very famous young man he idolizes, he cannot believe how much he has changed. Kevin Rowe is the most gorgeous man that Mitch has ever seen. Urged by his sister to get an autograph, Mitch feels like a star struck teen approaching his fantasy man and almost regrets coming here for the star’s biggest moment.

About the unicorn:
The unicorn is the only fabulous beast that does not seem to have been conceived out of human fears. In even the earliest references he is fierce yet good, selfless yet solitary, but always mysteriously beautiful. He could be captured only by unfair means, and his single horn was said to neutralize poison. The young gay male, like the unicorn, is fierce yet good, selfless yet solitary, always mysteriously beautiful, and can be captured only by unfair means.

Excerpt:
Kevin Rowe was an international film star and in the eyes of Mitch Sorz, an international superstar. Mitch had seen every one of Kevin’s movies, and had posters of him on every wall of his bedroom. Mitch had graduated from high school this year and as a surprise, his parents were taking him to the Cannes Film Festival to see his idol in his latest film debut.

“Come on, Mitch. We have less than an hour now to get to the airport,” Mitch’s mother, Mary Sorz, shouted up the stairs. Running down the stairs, Mitch ran ahead of his mom, and helped his dad load the suitcases into the car. “Can you believe that Kevin Rowe is my age, Dad? He’s a star. He’s been famous since he was a kid. He’s so lucky.” Mitch’s dad, Frank Sorz, smiled at his son. “I guess he is.” Mitch’s mom came hurrying out. “I called your sister. She’s meeting us at the airport.”

They got into the car and drove to the airport in the city they had called home since Mitch’s parents had married. Orlando, Florida, was the best place to grow up, according to Mitch. There was always plenty to do, with Disney World, Universal Studios, and Sea World all in one place. Mitch watched the traffic whiz by from the car window, and thought about the first time he had seen Kevin Rowe in person. It was just last year. Mitch was seventeen at the time, the same age as Kevin, and Kevin had just finished filming his first major motion picture, “Lucky Star”, and was signing autographs in the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World.

Mitch laid his head back on the car seat and closed his eyes. He had daydreamed many times about that first time he had seen Kevin Rowe in person. Kevin had signed the book about his life so far in the spotlight, and when Kevin had touched Mitch’s hand, Mitch had felt something between them. He couldn’t explain it, but it was there. Kevin had looked into his eyes, and it was if they knew something about each other at that very moment, that they shared something which no one else shared. Since that time, Mitch had seen every one of Kevin’s movies, and had collected anything and everything about Kevin Rowe.

***

Once on the plane, Mitch’s parents had another surprise. “Oh, man, are you kidding?” “Not at all. It isn’t every day that our son graduates from high school.” Mitch’s dad ruffled his son’s hair. They took their seats in the first class section of the huge Boeing 777. “I don’t remember any first class seats when I graduated,” Mandy sarcastically commented. “Well, honey, I didn’t get the bonuses then that I do now,” Mitch’s father reminded her. She rolled her eyes, and sat down beside her brother. “Hey, Mom, they still allow nude sun bathing on the French Riviera, right?” Mandy teased, trying to bait her father into one of their useless arguments. “Now, honey, don’t start.” Mandy giggled, and leaned her seat back.

Fortunately, the trip across the Atlantic didn’t seem to take as long as they thought it would, and before they knew it they were opening the door to their luxury suites in Cannes. “This is so great,” Mandy exclaimed. She and her mother were staying in one suite that was connected to another one that Mitch and his father were sharing. “They are beautiful, honey, and attached. They’re so big, honey,” she said to her husband.

Mandy pulled out her very tiny swimsuit and swung it around. “What do you think, Dad?” “It’s much too small,” her father answered. “It’s very nice, dear,” her mother said, but motioned for her to put it away. “Let’s go check things out,” Mandy said, eager to find her French man. “Go with her, Mitch.” “Oh, I see, I need a man to protect me, huh?” “Now, honey, that’s not what we meant,” her mother half lied. “Come on, kid,” Mandy said, leading the way, determined to exert her leadership.

The place was beautiful, and packed with movie stars and tourists. “Oh, look, Mitch. There’s Russell Crowe.” Mandy was definitely star struck. “Yeah, yeah.” “Oh, look, Mitch, I think that’s Kevin Rowe. Damn, he has really changed since last year.” Mandy dipped her sunglasses to get a good look. Mitch’s mouth fell open. Kevin was gorgeous. He sure has changed a lot more than I have since last year, Mitch thought, suddenly feeling much younger than his eighteen years. Mandy was right. There were girls all around Mitch’s dream guy, trying to get as close to him as they possibly could. “Wow, Mitch, look at the security that kid’s got.” “Hey, he’s my age. He’s not a kid.” “Whatever. Come on, Mitch, let’s get a closer look.”

Mitch walked behind Mandy, almost afraid to look at the man who had been the object of his desire since the first time he had looked into his eyes for that magical split second. The crowd had been thinned out some by the massive display of security surrounding the very famous Kevin Rowe, and Mandy and Mitch were able to get closer to him than they thought they would.

Mitch stopped his sister from going too far. “Mandy, wait,” he said. “What? Don’t you want to see him?” Mitch shrugged his shoulders. He didn’t take his eyes off of Kevin, though. He was definitely beautiful. “Hey, look, Mitch. I think he’s signing something.” Mandy walked ahead and Mitch walked behind her, slowly. Security had opened up a little, to allow Kevin to sign autographs. Still very guarded, Kevin shook Mandy’s hand and handed her a signed book about his new movie. Mitch walked up and shook Kevin’s hand. Kevin looked at him.

Pierce needs his job, and has a hard time obeying the invisible “Hands Off the Boss’ Son” sign that he has carefully painted in his own mind. All Romance ebooks, 1Romance ebooks, Amazon.

EXCERPT:
They pulled into the drive around sunset, and Russell hurried inside to see the puppies. “Oh, hi,” he said, when he saw the young man holding one of the puppies. “Oh, hey, are you Russell? I’m Pierce.” Russell looked at Pierce. He was gorgeous. He looked like a real cowboy, with just a little bit of the city in him. His hair was light, his skin slightly tanned from being out in the sun. He had kind eyes, and an even kinder smile. “Russell?” “Oh, I’m sorry. Did you say something?” “I asked if you wanted to hold him,” Pierce said. “Oh, sure.” Russell took the puppy from Pierce. He was asleep, and he curled up in Russell’s arms and continued to sleep. “His sister is over here.” Pierce motioned for Russell to come over and see her. Pierce petted the sleeping dog. “Isn’t she perfect?” Russell just smiled. “Your dad bought this soft bed for them and some toys. They like it here.”

Brian walked in and was glad to see that Pierce hadn’t had any trouble. Brian was a sucker for animals. He had a farm full of them. But these two puppies were the first dogs he had had for over a year now. Pierce stood up and said, “Well, I’d better be heading back, Brian. I’ll be back out here tomorrow. Time to vaccinate.” “See you tomorrow, Russell,” he added, and left the house. “The puppies are getting shots already?” “No, Russell, not the puppies yet, the livestock.”

***

Russell watched as Pierce and his dad talked. The sunlight shone on Pierce’s face like a spotlight. He looked better in the daylight than he had last night. The flannel shirt worn thin and the faded jeans outlined Pierce’s body perfectly and through them, Russell could see the muscles that good old fashioned work on the farm had developed. Pierce didn’t have the muscles of a body builder. Pierce had just the right amount of muscle.

When Pierce turned away from Russell’s view of his face, his faded jeans formed to his butt so well that Russell had to look away for a second. The thin material formed itself over Pierce’s well toned butt, kissed the crease between his butt and thighs, and then outlined his perfectly proportioned thighs.

Russell tried to stop staring, but could not force his feet to move away from the window. Pierce had seemed kind last night, not at all conceited, which he could have easily been with his good looks. He watched as Pierce put his hands on his hips and then slid them into his back pocket. Russell wished his hands were in those back pockets. “Oh, what are you thinking, Russell? Pierce is not gay, you are,” he said to himself.

***

Pierce kissed the back of Russell’s neck while he held him. He kissed lightly at first, from Russell’s neckline to the top of his shirt. Then he kissed his way to the side of Russell’s neck and up to his cheek. He kissed Russell’s earlobe and held it in his mouth before letting it slowly slide out. He did this several times, and his warm breath that made its way into Russell’s ear was causing arousing reactions in Russell. Pierce left Russell’s earlobe wet as he kissed along his cheek, seeking those lips that he had barely gotten a taste of just seconds before. He felt Russell’s body begin to relax with the erotic strokes of his lips.

Pierce wanted Russell now more than he had realized, and brought Russell’s face to meet his lips. He leaned Russell’s head back on the seat of the car and kissed his youthful lips. Russell was his from the moment he saw him, and he melted under Pierce’s touch. Pierce was kissing him like a man, not a boy, and Russell felt his body reacting like the body of a man, not a boy. Pierce leaned Russell’s head back even more and kissed his neck, and then kept going downward.

He unbuttoned first one, and then two buttons at the top of Russell’s shirt, and kissed his chest. Russell had nowhere near the experience that Pierce had, but he knew pleasure when he felt it. His chest was heaving under Pierce’s kisses. Pierce undid two more buttons and opened Russell’s shirt. He leaned up and kissed Russell’s lips once again while his fingers sought out those tender young buds on Russell’s chest that became erect under his touch. Pierce returned to Russell’s chest with a fierce need to have those youthful buds between his lips. He licked around them first, and Russell gasped. Then he took each one between his lips, sucking them to their full potential, nibbling them for arousal. Russell was aroused. He wanted to be naked with Pierce, to feel his body next to his, to feel his lips on his erection that had been present for awhile now.

Haven at Harvey Milk High, by S. Wales

A Beau to Beau young adult story, by S. Wales, of Beau to Beau books of Male Love

INTRO:
Disowned by his parents for being gay, Seth has nowhere to turn until an Internet search uncovers a haven of sorts in New York City. Seth then makes the call that will change his life forever. Alone and scared, Seth must learn to trust a stranger who introduces him to a whole new world, one in which he can not only survive, but thrive. http://www.beautobeau.com, All Romance ebooks

EXCERPT:
Seth had never seen such tall buildings as he was seeing now, and was unaccustomed to apartment buildings with doormen. He had heard that that was how people lived in New York City, but back home people lived in houses. “Here we are,” Greg said, as he opened the door to his apartment in the sky. It was like a house, just way up high. Before Seth could look around, there was a knock on Greg’s door and a young man with two bags walked in. “Hi Seth, I’m David. I’m in your class at school. I brought some clothes from the school and some of my own too.” Turning to Greg, he said, “Looks like I chose the right ones, Greg. Seth and I are just about the same size.” Seth didn’t say anything.
******
We are fortunate to have very generous people who are more than willing to give not just money and material things, but also their time and advice. Many of them have been where you are, Seth.” Greg held both of Seth’s hands as he said this. Seth lowered his eyes, but Greg continued to talk. “I work as a financial planner, Seth. I graduated from Columbia University a few years ago, after I graduated from Harvey Milk High just as you will do. I was you, Seth, not so long ago.”
******
Seth didn’t mean to stare, but the couples looked so in love. “Sweet,” he said in a whisper. Patrick heard it. He lifted his head off of Seth’s shoulder and they were face to face. Seth looked into Patrick’s bright blue eyes and wanted to kiss him, but was too shy. Patrick wasn’t shy. His lips lightly touched Seth’s, as if they were seeking approval for the kiss. Seth did not withdraw from the brush of Patrick’s lips. Patrick stopped dancing and kissed Seth’s lips, opening Seth’s mouth a little. He held Seth tighter as he deepened the kiss, opening Seth’s mouth just enough to run his tongue along the inner edge of his lips.
******
He wanted Patrick, but had never been this far, and had never thought about being where he was without the cloak of shame clouding his thoughts. He allowed Patrick to move his legs apart, and heard himself gasp again as he ran his hands along Seth’s legs. Patrick kissed Seth’s inner thigh from his knee to very near his groin, first on the left leg, and then on the right. Seth unknowingly placed his hand over his hard penis as the clouds of shame came over him again. Patrick looked at Seth. His face registered desire and pleasure, and Patrick continued. He kissed each of Seth’s fingers that had clasped what had until now been his rod of shame. As Patrick kissed each finger, one at a time, his lips lightly pressed against Seth’s erection. After he had kissed each finger, Patrick took each one into his mouth very slowly and then very slowly let each one slide back out. Patrick’s soft lips and tenderness had relaxed Seth’s body and his hand that had been guarding what Patrick knew to be beautiful now fell onto the bed, releasing its grasp on Seth’s erection.
******
Patrick scooted up further on the bed as he awaited Seth’s lips on his organ of love. Seth kissed Patrick’s chest, running his tongue across his nipples. Patrick’s body shivered at this new sensation, and he stroked Seth’s hair as Seth continued to love him. Seth kissed Patrick’s navel and then licked the drops that had fallen onto his skin. He liked the taste of Patrick, and ran his tongue lightly across the top of Patrick’s erection as he claimed more of the luscious drops. Seth made his way downward until he was now between Patrick’s legs. He looked at Patrick. His eyes were closed, his body yearning for Seth’s touch, his kiss, anticipating what would come next. Seth saw only beauty as he looked at Patrick’s body.

Loving Nate by S. Wales of Beau to Beau Publishing

We have a new author at Beau to Beau. S. Wales writes young adult gay fiction. Cover design by Dvorak Designs, www.dvorakdesigns.com. Book is available to 1Romance ebooks and All Romance ebooks.

Excerpt:
Nate lived in one of the wealthiest neighborhoods in Omaha, Nebraska, attended a private school, drove a BMW, and could pretty much have anything he wanted. His father had inherited the family commodities investment firm and his mother spent most of her time in aerobics classes or attending various social activities. Nate had never thought of his life as mundane or meaningless; that is, not until last summer. Last summer had changed Nate forever. As he looked around at his classmates, Nate realized what it was that he had learned during his summer vacation. Nate had learned about the human condition and the human spirit; specifically, the resilience of the human spirit. Nate had also met a friend, a confidante, a boyfriend.
******
Tate showed Nate to his room that they would be sharing and showed him the drawer he had cleared out for him. “Thanks,” Nate said, and set his stuff down. Tate sat on the bed while Nate unpacked. “What’s it like up north?” “It’s not that much different from here, I guess. It’s not as warm and Omaha has lots of hills. We have a river but it’s not as big as the Mississippi.” “What do you do for fun?” Nate sat on the bed with Tate and showed him his Nintendo DS. “I’ve got games to play on this,” he said. “Do you have one?” Tate shook his head. “Do you have a Wii?” Tate shook his head again. “How about the Internet?” “No, but sometimes we use it at school,” Tate explained. Nate showed Tate how to play one of the Nintendo games and before long he was a pro. “For not having one of those, you sure did catch on quick,” Nate said. “Thanks,” he said. “Here’s my Blackberry. You can play games on it, too, and download books from the Internet.” Tate looked confused at Nate’s last remark. “You can buy ebooks and read them on your cell phone, like this one.” He showed Tate some of the books he had on his Blackberry and he quickly began reading one.
******
As they worked together, Nate’s sponsor couldn’t help but notice the budding friendship between two boys from two very different worlds. Nate liked Tate. He could tell him anything without fear of disapproval or that he would tell everyone he knew. Of course, Nate knew no one here, but still, there was something honest and pure about Tate that Nate had not seen before.
******
The two boys walked past five or six houses until they reached the end of the cul-de-sac. It was dark, but the stars lit up the night sky with their brilliance. The two boys sat on the mound of dirt that would soon be Tate’s new home, and looked up at the stars. “I’m really glad you came here this summer, Nate.” Tate reached over and placed his hand on Nate’s as it lay on his thigh. Nate didn’t know what to do but knew that he couldn’t look at Tate right now, so he looked straight ahead. He didn’t withdraw his hand, and he rather liked the feeling of Tate’s hand on his. After what seemed like a lot longer than it was, Nate placed his free hand over Tate’s, and looked at him. “I’m glad too, Tate.” He quickly looked away again, but neither boy withdrew their hand.
******
Nate reached out and placed his hand over Tate’s. “Before this summer, I thought that friends were people you had to impress or have as much stuff as they did in order to be their friends, but I don’t think that’s true anymore.” Tate said nothing for quite awhile, thinking about Nate’s words. “Are you my friend because you have more than me?” Nate sat up and leaned on his elbow, not taking his hand off of Tate’s. “Oh, no, Tate. I didn’t mean it that way. I meant that the guys I know don’t like people who don’t wear designer clothes or who don’t go to a private school or drive fancy cars. They’re just really superficial, that’s all, and they use people to get what they want.” Tate didn’t understand “using people” but was beginning to understand the other stuff. Nate continued. “You weren’t like that, Tate. You were nice to me from the start even though you didn’t know me and didn’t know if I was rich or poor, and your mom hugged me when she first met me. My own mom doesn’t hug me.” Nate lay back down and looked up at the stars. “Your mom likes everybody, Tate. She doesn’t judge others.” “No, she would never do that, Nate. She believes what the bible says about not judging others. She says it’s not our place as mere mortals.” Nate swallowed hard. It seemed that he lived in an entirely different world than Tate, and Tate’s was a loving world, a world that Nate liked a lot. The two boys looked up at the stars for a long time saying nothing, with Nate’s hand on Tate’s. Nate was almost asleep when he felt Tate’s lips on his. It was a quick kiss, and then Tate lay back down. Nate was definitely awake now. “What was that for?” “I’m just glad you came here, that’s all.” “Oh,” said Nate, and they slept until morning, their hands never leaving the others’.
